Hi My Lovely Travellers! Other than travelling to have fun, relax and sight-see, Food is definitely one of my favourite parts! I Love Steak houses! There are days where you just crave to have a really good piece of steak- Juicy, succulent and full of flavour- Simple and very satisfying! Since I travel to Singapore quite frequently, I have 3 steakhouses that are my favourite.
Here's the review of my favourite top 3 places to have steak (and other stuff on the menu) in Singapore:
Mandarin Oriental Singapore
Fourth Storey
5 Raffles Avenue
Marina Square, Singapore
Mortons Steakhouse in Mandarin Oriental is one of the best steakhouses in Singapore. Morton's first restaurant was opened in Chicago. Since then it has grown to have several outlets all over the world! It's very convenient for my family as it is a short cab ride away from our hotel Fairmont that we usually stay. The service was great- the waiter we had was very attentive and knowledgeable regarding the items on the menu and offered good recommendations. I loved the ambiance of the steakhouse. Simple and cozy and very dark! Although my parents did not like the darkness too much, I love dark restaurants! However, as such, apologies for my not very clear and dark pictures!
There were 5 of us dining that night. For starters we had the bread complimentary on the house, 2 Seafood Platters and lobster bisque soup!
The bread was not bad, nothing too fancy but to start of the meal is good.
The seafood platter was simply deeelicious, however for $180 for 4 it was quite on the high side price wise! But the quality was great! The lobster, prawns, Alaskan King crab legs and oysters were Superbly fresh and so sweet!
While deciding whether to have the soup as we were wondering whether it might be too heavy, the waiter suggested we split on portion of The lobster bisque- $36 into two- and boy were we glad, as after splitting the portion, it seemed like a whole portion to myself!

For mains, Traveller J and I ordered the Center cut Prime Ribeye-16oz- $99.5
I cut a piece to have a taste and it was like this succulent, flavourful tasting, hint of crisp from the outer layer happiness in my palette! We ordered side dishes of salad and fries to go with our steak as it did not come with sides. The steak was a pretty large portion and in combination with all our other food that after the meal I was so stuffed I could hardly move! My favourite feeling after a satisfying meal!;) Just typing this post makes me want to rush back there to have another piece of steak!
Traveller JG and S had the Chilean Seabass- $77, however they thought it wasn't fantastic as the flesh was not as smooth and was on the dry side. Traveller JK had the Signature cut New York Strip,14oz- $120 which he mentioned was Fantastic- So far the best he had in Singapore!- Pity I don't have a picture of the food they had!
We were contemplating whether we should have desert after our meal as we were so full, however I guess how can we not try their famous Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake! The Hot chocolate cake -$30 was simply divine! Hot, Gooey Liquid in the inside of soft chocolate cake accompanied by cold vanilla ice cream!

2. WOOLOOMOOLOO STEAKHOUSE (SINGAPORE)
2 Stamford Road
Level 3 Swissotel The Stamford
Singapore 178882
Wooloomooloo Steakhouse is a steakhouse originating from HongKong. Its located in Swissotel, The Stamford and has a beautiful ambiance with large clear glass windows which allows its diners to enjoy beautiful food with a beautiful view! I loved the layout of the whole place, and there are several sections of the steakhouse, and when I dined there, there were 7 of us, so we chose the semi-private room. It was quiet and simply relaxing environment!
The prices at Wooloomooloo Steakhouse were also on the high side, however was abit lesser than Mortons. Sorry, I do not have the prices here!
For starters we had complimentary onion bread. I found this very tasty! We also ordered oysters to share! It was simply divine as well! Very fresh and succulent! The lobster bisque here is very tasty and they had two large pieces of lobster in it too!-Yum!
For my main, I had steak- of course. It was Juicy and accompanying sauce was great! At Wooloomooloo, sides did not come with our steak, thus we ordered their mash potatoes and mushrooms as sides. The mash was probably the best mash ever! So fluffy and tasty! My other dining companions tried the fish, The texture of the fish was good, however the accompanying potato that was below the fish did not go at all. It was just a boiled potato with not much flavour.
As for our desert.. Chocolate Molten cake!! I think the one at Mortons was better but comparable as well!

3. LES BOUCHONS
Rive Gauche, 41 Robertson Quay,
Singapore 238236
Les Bouchons is another one of my favourite places to have steak! It's a bistro casualish style and its famous for its steak and free flow fries! They have two outlets, however I have only been to the one at Robertson Quay. It's quite an intimate, romantic place- perfect for a simple date! It's also one which is probably more friendly on your wallet! The menu here is simple and straightforward- you would probably know what to order pretty fast.
For starters, Les Bouchons provided complimentary bread which was alright. We then ordered the escargots with Garlic Butter-$18. I don't really like escargots as I always imagine the snails that I see.. haha.. However, Traveller J seemed to enjoy the escargots! Did not have a picture of this though!
For mains, definitely the Grilled Rib Eye Steak with "Vigneron" Butter -$38.80. Its served with Salad and free flow of fries! That was the best part of it- if you're craving fries that is! However I think the one portion of fries is more than enough for me! The medium steak was done to perfection and accompanying sauces were a wonderful addition as well.
They have quite a selection of wines too.
