CINQUE TERRE FROM FLORENCE, ITALY

Hi again! Am back again after such a long time! OK I wrote this halfway ages ago but thought I'll just share it! So this was my Cinque Terre trip, from Florence, Italy! I think it was quite a good idea to go from Florence. We once again took a tour from Viator. We took the "Cinque Terre Day Trip from Florence" and it was indeed an awesome experience! Cinque Terre is made up of 5 fishing villages along the Italian Riviera! Early in the morning, we set off in a very comfy bus! Remember, to get your breakfast before boarding the bus, as no food is allowed on the bus!
After around an hour's drive, we were able to see the beautiful sea!

For our tour, we were going to visit 4 of the 5 fishing villages! Our first stop of the four villages was Riomaggiore. The buildings were all pastel coloured and it's known for its wine and scenery, however, I didn't really have much of an impression of Riomaggiore, but Yay for our first of the villages for the Cinque Terre Tour!

Ofter a quick walk around, we headed off to the train station to board a train to our second village- Manarola! While waiting for the train, the photo below was the view of the sea opposite the train station! How beautiful can it be! How nice would it be to be going to work everyday with this view.. If only!:)

As we arrive Manarola, it was quite packed with tourists as you can see! Good thing it was good weather that day! Sunny, but quite cool and breezy!I Love Manarola! This is where you can take photos of all that famous colourful buildings on a cliff that we see of Cinque Terre! We walked around the harbour, climbed up the stairs on the cliffs to get away from the crowd and take more photos! Manarola isn't big but its very beautiful being right next to the waters. It was just a wonderful feeling strolling around without a care in the world! There were also people who were sitting around the cliff with their paintbrushes painting the beautiful scenery of the sea and the colourful old buildings!

After we were given some time, it was time to get on our boat ride which will bring us to Monterosso! Thank God for the awesome weather, that we were also able to get on the boat! If the waters was too choppy, I think we wouldn't be able to get on the boat.

Monterosso from our boat!
When we arrived, we followed our tour guide for our included lunch. We had picked the option with lunch, however, I felt the lunch was not too great. This was our seafood salad which was pretty good.
For the mains, I think we had pasta, but it wasn't the best..

After our lunch, we strolled along this beautiful town and hanged out by the beach! Look at the beautiful waters! Don't you just feel like taking a dip, waddle around and just bum by one of those chairs for a tan! We didn't swim but dipped our feet in the waters and strolled by the beach! Ahhhh~~
As we weren't full.. We popped by one of the restaurants nearby and it was SO FRESH!!

Time sure passed fast, and soon we had to catch our tram ride to our last village: Vernazza!

Tram station at Monterosso
Vernazza was another beautiful village surrounded with the wonderful colours of blue! We didn't walk around much, just to have a look at the beach and then got an ice cream and sat by the waters to people watch and chill!

After Vernazza, it was time to go back to Florence! We really had an extremely wonderful time! We were so glad we went by tour as well, even though I'm not a fan of full tours, but these one day tours sure saves a lot of hassle!
I would love to come bak to Cinque Terre to spend more time or explore the Italian & French Riviera! Imagine 2 weeks of seafood, boating, sunbathing, swimming. Ah.. That would be amazing! Sicily or Naples would be similarly amazing for another time!
Until Next time my Relaxed Travellers!
