MY FAVOURITE TOP 3 STEAK RESTAURANTS IN SINGAPORE

Hi My Lovely Travellers! Other than travelling to have fun, relax and sight-see, Food is definitely one of my favourite parts! I Love Steak houses! There are days where you just crave to have a really good piece of steak- Juicy, succulent and full of flavour- Simple and very satisfying! Since I travel to Singapore quite frequently, I have 3 steakhouses that are my favourite. 

Here's the review of my favourite top 3 places to have steak (and other stuff on the menu) in Singapore:

1. MORTONS-THE STEAKHOUSE

Mortons Steakhouse in Mandarin Oriental is one of the best steakhouses in Singapore. Morton's first restaurant was opened in Chicago. Since then it has grown to have several outlets all over the world! It's very convenient for my family as it is a short cab ride away from our hotel Fairmont that we usually stay. The service was great- the waiter we had was very attentive and knowledgeable regarding the items on the menu and offered good recommendations. I loved the ambiance of the steakhouse. Simple and cozy and very dark! Although my parents did not like the darkness too much, I love dark restaurants! However, as such, apologies for my not very clear and dark pictures!

I travel to Singapore quite often since I was young with my family and I love shopping and eating there! Singapore is a pretty small country but its an extremely developed cosmopolitan city that's filled with lots of great shopping, eateries and all sort of entertainment. It's pretty safe as well, so you don't really need to worry about being robbed, etc, but guess gotta be careful everywhere you go! In this post I'll write about all my experiences/reviews of places of interests in Singapore and combine them into an itinerary if you would like to travel to Singapore.

Day 5: Kaohsiung - ChiChin Island, Love River
We decided to change our departure from Star Villa to a later timing around 11 and informed Star Villa the night before. They arranged for transport and called a cab to pick us up ! The journey took around an hour and we were dropped off once again at the Taichung Train station for us to get our High speed rail to Zuoying Station (Kaohsiung). We departed at 14:01 and reached at 15:00 pm! The High Speed rail is really very fast and convenient! We brought our luggage along and walk out of the train station, around 2 mins walk, we found our hotel!:D Sorry did not get pictures of the lobby, but only the entrance to the rooms from the lift!

By the time we checked in and settled down it was kind of late. We shouldn't have taken our time!! But guess we were on a relaxed mode.. haha. We decided that we wanted to go to ChiChin Island for seafood dinner and to walk around! On our way there we saw several stalls and I saw one which sold a cute pet pig! Maybe its not meant to be a pet.. but its so cute-- I want a pig as a pet! haha

A few months ago, Traveller J and I went to Taiwan and it was amazing!!! We wanted a relaxing holiday yet, at the same time exciting! Got to eat loads of delicious food, did some shopping, and saw beautiful scenery!:) This trip we went around Taipei (main places of interest: Yang Ming Shan, Taipei 101, SOGO Shopping, Shida Night Market, Ximending, Jiufen, etc), Nantou (Sun Moon Lake, Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village), Cingjing Farm, Kaohsiung (Liouhe night market, ChiChin Island, Dream mall). As I previously went to Taipei before and went to the different night markets, I didn't go this time. May you find our Taiwan itinerary useful for your own travel to Taiwan!

-Destination: Taipei, Nantou (SunMoonLake area), Cingjing Farm, Kaohsiung 

KOH SAMUI [THAILAND] + ROMANTIC DINNER ON THE BEACH BY THE SEA!

A few months ago, I was off to Koh Samui with Traveller J. It is an island in Thailand and located near the town of Surat Thani in Surat Thani Province. I was extremely excited about coming to this island as I had heard about the beautiful seaviews and also their sandy beaches- my favourite! This trip was to relax, enjoy the beautiful views and soak up the sun and smell of the sea! So here goes! Links are provided for your convenience as well.

Koh Samui

-Days: 4 days 3 nights                                                                                                                    
 I would suggest staying longer! This was not enough- 4/5 nights would be good!

-Flight: Silk Airways (Singapore)    8.40 am-9.30 am (1 hr 50 mins)                                       
 The flight was good, no delays nor any hiccups but it was on a smaller plane. Meals included and all. For other alternatives, there is Bangkok Airways and Airasia. However, the timing for Silk Airways was the best option for me.

-Transport around Ko Samui: Taxi                                                                                    
Another option would be to rent a scooter/bike or rent a car!      
                                                         
-Hotels: 1 night at Intercontinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort (Intercontinental Samui) and 2 nights at Melati Beach Resort and Spa (Melati Resort) 

Intercontinental Samui Baan Taling Ngam Resort was gorgeous! Their breathtaking views were fantastic from the lobby, my room as well as from their infitinity pool. We had booked the ocean view rooms, but were upgraded to their One bedroom Panoramic Ocean View Suites as the previous was full! As there was a slight delay, we were provided lunch on the house. The suite was just perfect, beautiful furnishing, amenities, and the best bathroom I have ever seen-a bathtub with panoramic views of the sea. Exactly as per their website. **One thing I have to say is that the sand on the beach of this resort was quite coarse if you do not mind.                                                                          
Melati Beach Resort and Spa was our next home for 2 nights. It was awesome!! The feeling is more homely, resort style. Rooms were big and comfy! Toilets were big, spacy and clean as well! However,the room that I booked was quite a walk from the lobby to our room,but no fear, there is a buggy system that can bring  you to and fro, just have to give them a buzz. The aircon at this place took awhile to cool down though. Beautiful pool and sandy beaches at this resort.
